/ Founder story

Monako started with one question nobody could answer.

The question was simple. If you trust an agent to act on your behalf, who verifies the agent? Who checks the work? Who holds the keys?

I asked it in every room. I asked engineers. I asked operators. I asked founders shipping agents to production. The answers were a shrug, a slide deck, or a long sentence that meant nothing.

01 - The moment

There is a moment when you stop accepting that something does not exist yet. For me it was a deploy that should not have happened, run by an agent that should not have had the keys, on a Sunday afternoon. The blast radius was small. The lesson was not.

Existing tools were not built for this. They were built for humans, then retrofitted for agents. The seams showed. Every bolt-on was another place trust could fall through.

If you trust the agent, you have already lost. Trust the platform.
02 - The decision

I tore up the rulebook. No legacy stack. No retrofit. We started over, from the first line, with one constraint: every agent is verified, every action is checked, every keystroke is tracked, every thought is logged.

We picked Zero Trust as the starting point, not the feature. We put it in the floor, not the upgrade tier. Then we built everything on top of that floor.

03 - What Monako became

Monako is the platform I wanted on that Sunday. A cloud you do not have to run yourself. A guardrail you do not have to wire up. A loop that closes. A trail you can replay. A six hour window to undo what should not have shipped.

It runs while you sleep. It pauses when it should. It asks when it must. It carries the work for days, then for weeks, and does not forget where it left off.

04 - Where it goes

Everyone has been waiting for a personal AI. Not a copilot. Not a chatbot. A working member of the team. Monako is that AI, and the future is not five years away. It is now.

/ The thesis

A Zero Trust cloud platform built for agents had to exist. So we built it. The bet is that autonomy you can verify is the only autonomy that ships.
